Salt Pixel has been an amazing adventure, from the humble start in the end of 2014 to 60 coworkers in 5 countries in 2018.
Besides our amazing 3D artists, project managers and administration the biggest key to our success has by far been our clients.
Together with all of you we have been able to think freely and create breathtaking animations and illustrations.
Our first major project was for the Norwegian branch of the Japanese company Furuno, one of the world leaders in ship electronics and communication systems. We are extremely grateful for this opportunity given to us way back in 2015!
Furuno Norge wanted to create an animation to steal the show at Nor Shipping 2015 in Lillestrøm. For this request we came up with a pitch for something spectacular, we planned to use a green studio and create a timeless animation.
With thousands of plays on our Salt Pixel’s Vimeo page we accomplished the goal we set together with Furuno Norge to create an animation that could be used over and over again.
We asked Marketing Coordinator for Furuno Norge Marianne Hansen a couple of questions about our first project together.
For such a big project what made you trust Salt Pixel with this task, and do you feel this animation has served its purpose as an eye catcher at your stand at the exhibitions Furuno has attended?
Yes, this movie is certainly a presentation we are proud to show at the exhibitions we attend. The big monitor with the movie is an eye catcher, and makes people stop. The movie present Furuno properly, as a professional and innovative company. The movie also shows what we can offer the customers, in a slightly different way that the customer hopefully will remember.
When we create an animation, only imagination sets boundaries for the outcome of an animation. As a company that delivers a lot intangible services, how important was it to give us the creative freedom you did, and is that something Furuno Norge has benefited from?
Salt Pixel’s creativity was crucial to convey our message in a sensational way. The cooperation between us and any advertising agency are always a challenging and hard job. The most important is to get a 100% completed results at the end, and we feel we did that with Salt Pixel. We have also used clips from the movie as still pictures in other contexts.
This particular project with Furuno Norge is one of many breathtaking projects, stay tuned and look forward to read more about our amazing clients
